Dr Teriko Rex

Dr Rex obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney achieving First Class Honours. After working in private practice for a few years, she was accepted into the University of Sydney’s highly competitive, three year orthodontic training program, graduating as a specialist orthodontist with a Master of Dental Science (Orthodontics).

Dr Rex has a passion for both clinical and academic pursuits, and she has won prestigious research prizes as well as published numerous research articles locally and internationally, including publications in the leading orthodontic resource, The American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Dr Rex is a member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Orthodontists and the Australasian Society of Lingual Orthodontists. She is a certified member of the Australian Orthodontic Board and obtained her Invisalign® accreditation in the early years of its release. She is an avid supporter of continuing education, attending both local and international conferences on a regular basis.

Dr Rex continues to support the development of one of the best orthodontic training programs in the world by tutoring postgraduate students at the University of Sydney. Dr Rex also maintains an active role in her professional societies, currently holding the position of the Treasurer of the University of Sydney Orthodontic Alumni.

Dr Rex is renowned for her attention to detail and vibrant personality. Her bright smile and calm gentle nature make her easily approachable and happy to answer any important concerns regarding your orthodontic treatment.

Dr Darin Ballard
B.D.S.(Syd.),M.D.Sc.(Syd.)

Dr Ballard obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney and worked for a number of years in both general private practice and the Royal Australian Air Force. He then graduated as a specialist orthodontist with a Master of Dental Science (Orthodontics) from the prestigious, three year orthodontic training program at the University of Sydney.

Dr Ballard is a member of the Australian Dental Association and the Australian Society of Orthodontists. He is a certified member of the Australian Orthodontic Board and is Invisalign® accredited. He has a passion for new technology and attends continuing education courses on a regular basis both locally and internationally.

Dr Ballard brings with him a new generation of thought and knowledge. He is at the forefront of the use of temporary anchorage implants in Australia, an exciting new technique that allows successful solutions to what were previously thought to be impossible tooth movements. Dr Ballard indulges this passion and passes this knowledge on through teaching postgraduate students at the University of Sydney’s orthodontic training program. Dr Ballard has been invited to lecture at various local meetings held by the Australian Society of Orthodontists and Dental Assistants Association NSW. He is also actively involved in community oral health and education, speaking at schools on various dental issues.
